THE STORY OF IFS
In the early 2000s, before fitness became filtered and franchised, Robert DeVito saw an industry losing its soul. The promise of transformation had been replaced by sales scripts, shortcuts, and shallow goals. He wanted no part of that — so he decided to build something better.
In 2000, Robert founded Innovation Fitness Solutions, LLC — not as another gym, but as a rebellion. His mission was clear: create a space where education, accountability, and community drove results. Where people learned to move well, eat with intention, and live with purpose.
What began as a consulting firm quickly evolved into a full-scale movement. Robert worked with hundreds of health clubs — over 200 facilities in fact — guiding owners, training staff, designing systems, and helping transform struggling gyms into thriving communities. His approach was simple but radical: treat people like people, not numbers. Build trust before selling results.
At the same time, his influence extended far beyond the walls of IFS. For 15 years, Robert served as a National Master Educator for the National Academy of Sports Medicine, where he certified over 10,000 personal trainers nationwide. The travel was relentless. The hours were brutal. But his goal was bigger than comfort — he was trying to fix a broken system from the inside out.
Airports, classrooms, conferences, late-night flights. Thousands of coaches trained. Thousands of lives impacted. The mission: raise the standard.
Back home, Innovation Fitness Solutions grew into a cornerstone of the community.
Now, celebrating 20 years in business — with 15 years proudly rooted in Butler, New Jersey — IFS stands as proof that doing things the right way still matters. The gym’s reputation is built on consistency, cleanliness, and culture. It’s not overcrowded or overhyped — it’s personal, professional, and powerful.
Robert’s philosophy has never changed:
Movement is medicine. Education is power. Consistency is freedom.
Every client who walks through the doors writes a new page in the IFS story — one about transformation, resilience, and ownership. Because here, fitness isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about building the discipline to keep showing up.
This isn’t just a gym.
It’s a standard — twenty years in the making.
And Robert DeVito is the man who built it.
