Kelsey specializes in Personal Training in Butler NJ and Small Group Training in Butler NJ.
Kelsey is a recent graduate from the University of Alabama where she received her BS in
Nutrition. Growing up in an extremely active family Kelsey never had an off season, fall was for volleyball, winters were for snowboarding in Vermont, and spring and summer were reserved for softball.
As she got older her scoliosis began to progress, causing extreme back pain, and prevented her from playing sports. She was sent to multiple doctors who wanted her to undergo surgery, wear a back brace, or cease all physical activity. Instead, her mom sent her to personal trainers, physical therapists, and chiropractors to seek treatment where she found relief through strength training and corrective work.
After enduring this physically and mentally exhausting process, she saw an opportunity to become a personal trainer and help others who have been told time and time again that they CAN’T, or their pain is permanent. During her undergrad she worked her way up from cleaning up after patrons in the weight room to becoming a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and began her career training Naval Academy prospects, groups, and clients looking to lose weight. Currently, Kelsey is studying for her Vinyasa Yoga teaching certification and her Weight Management Specialist certification.
Upon graduation she decided to continue her education in nutrition by pursuing her MS
and becoming a sports nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition. She was then asked to work for the gym she had been a part of since she was 14 and took on a wide range of clients from athletes to injury rehab and also provided nutrition education or counseling.
Kelsey made the decision to join the IFS team because she saw an opportunity to expand her knowledge and be mentored by some of the best trainers in the industry.
