After completing her undergraduate degree in biology in 2005, Courtney received her
Masters in Physical Therapy from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2007. She later received a transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with honors in 2010.
Since November of 2007, Courtney has worked for Hackensack University Medical Center where she has treated both the pediatric and geriatric populations, as well as, treated in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Courtney’s clinical experience includes the evaluation and treatment of sacra-iliac and spinal dysfunction, chronic pain conditions, musculoskeletal conditions, degenerative diagnoses, neurologic impairment, and the wound care population. Within the hospital setting, she has spent time treating acute surgical patients (trauma and elective), stem-cell transplant recipients, ICU patients, geriatrics, diabetes, open-heart, and stroke patients.
Courtney has also worked with professional athletes within the tristate area.
Courtney has pursued continuing education in many areas including:
-Common Injuries Associated with Runners
-Ethics and Jurisprudence
-Treatment of the ICU patient
-Geriatric balance examination and intervention
Courtney has taken her lifelong love of fitness to the next level by completing the NCCPT Personal Training certification and has been mentored by IFS for 6 months.
She specializes in working with clients with preexisting injuries and with special populations.
Courtney is a highly skilled endurance athlete, having completed numerous 5K races and 1/2 Marathons. She brings her knowledge of injury prevention combined with her strong desire to help AND challenge her clients to all of her sessions. Recently, Courtney has found a new passion for Strength Training and can be seen consistently lifting heavy things while motivating other women to do the same safely.
She is available for Group Personal Training Sessions and One on One Sessions in our Butler center.
